8 Weeks

The 8 week appointment went very well. The baby is measuring and looking great! The little "bean" picture didn't really turn out great, and wasn't worth posting since you can't really see a whole lot. My due date is April 30th, 2009. Now if this "morning" sickness would just go away...

Dance Baby Dance!

This is the best video so far of Powell's dancing. If I get a better one, I will post it, but this will have to suffice for now! His dancing does mostly consist of either pacing, or walking in a circle, head-banging. He got a little camera-shy, because he was full on rocking out before I started taking the video. That's a kid for ya! His favorite song right now is "Cotten-Eyed Joe", or "Cot-do" as he calls it. He asks for it all of the time. Poor Matt. He gets suckered into playing it all the time when I'm at work (until Powell has to go to bed, of course). It's driving him a little batty. Powell also likes The Beatles. Their happy, earlier stuff. :) Such a crazy kid. Enjoy the video! Sorry, but I took the video up and down, and can't figure out how to turn it. :P I'll try and remember to take videos side to side from here on out.

My New Kid

I've also started taking care of a 1 year old little girl named, Alyssa. Just on Mondays and Tuesdays. She's such a good kid, and such a cutie! It's very cute to see Powell interact with other babies/kids (he's still my baby) his age. He's always wanting a kiss from "Lyssa", but they still do have their quarrels. He's definitely learning how to share his toys too. If she's playing with something he wants, he'll either take it from her, or sit really close to her and say, in a very pathetic voice, "I'm sharing". It really is cute, but I have to explain to him, when he takes the toy, that that's not sharing. It's preparing him for baby #2 I think. ;)

A walk to the park and back. We were going to play at the park, but they were spraying for wasps, so there went that idea!

Powell used to call all flowers "purple" because of these things. My mom was trying to teach him the color purple when we had bought these at JoAnn's. He still calls these "purple", but he now knows the word "flowers" (fyowyers is how he says it).

And one final picture of my handsome man! This is a "new" Naartjie outfit from g'ma Dove. It's still a little big, but I had to try it out. The day was a little cool, but not too cool, so it worked. He looked very studly I must say. ;) Mom, sorry it wasn't a better picture. He wouldn't put his "hair jo" down, and kept walking either towards me or away from me. I know. The toilet is in the background. :P

1st Day Of Work!

Well, I've officially started working at Babies R' Us. Started on Labor Day, go figure. It's been pretty good so far. I mostly close (so Matt can take over with Powell when I have to leave). That's kind of hard on a pregnant mommy. I've been feeling just nauseous throughout the days, but haven't thrown up yet! *knock on wood* And the nauseousness isn't as bad as I had felt with Powell either. *again, knock on wood* We shall see what the coming weeks bring! I have my first doctor's appointment on Sept. 18th for this pregnancy, so I will keep you all updated. I will leave you with a picture from my first night of work. Matt just thought I looked so cute. Ha!

Powell was very intrigued with my name tag, and kept asking "What's that?"

A Visit From Bjorn!

Over Labor Day weekend, we watched my best friend, Chaney's son, Bjorn. It was their 5 year anniversary, so they spent a weekend up in Este's Park at Peaceful Valley Ranch, where they were married. We had a lot of fun with 'B', and Powell enjoyed having a playmate for the weekend. The day they came back (on Sunday), it was me and Matt's 3 year anniversary, so we all went out to Chili's to celebrate. It was a good time, and great to be able to see our friends since they don't live too close to us (4 hours away to be exact). :(

Powell is only about 4 months and 9 days older than Bjorn, but yet, he's so much bigger! Look at the noggin' on my kid! :) I had to put them in their matching outfits. Both of their g'mas got them from Herberger's.
Wagon ride to the park!
Playing at the park. Boy was it hot! I felt so bad for the boys because all of the equipment was hot and they didn't really like touching it. They couldn't even go on the swings! :( They still had fun though.
2 babies in a tub!

We love you and miss you (all 3 of you)! :)

A Whopping 3 Years!

I am posting this blog entry tonight since I probably won't have any time tomorrow! August 31st marks our 3 year wedding anniversary! Our marriage has definitely not been easy, or perfect, but nobody said it would be. I can't believe how fast these past few years have gone by, and very eventful I might add. We got married, 9 months after we got married, we bought a house and found out we were pregnant, and now, 3 years later we are pregnant with baby #2 and having so much fun with our now 19 month old little boy! Happy Anniversary honey! I can't wait for the next 3 years, or 30....:) I love you!

Freaky!

So, if you've noticed, I've just added the little baby ticker to my blog. I know that when you're growing a baby, they don't look like a "baby" to begin with, but this just looks so freaky! Neat to see how they grow and develop, but freaky. Very alien.
