Another Visit!

This time, my parents, my sister, Jordan and my sister, Jerusha (with her husband, Wes, and his daughter, Kennedy) came to visit. We had fun just hangin' out and relaxing.

Favorite Pajamas

Don't ask me why, but these pajamas, that I bought at Dillards, on clearance for about $3, were our favorite PJ's to put Powell in as a baby. We just had to bring them back out when Isabel was born!

No More Tray!

Well, I've finally retired the highchair look, tray and all, and converted my little boy's high chair to a booster. Here he is eating his first official meal at the actual table. Looks excited, don't you think? I also have to mention his placemat. Love it. It's called a TinyDiner. Great for home, restaurants, visiting grandma's, etc...

Such A Milestone...

Powell finally learned to drink from a straw! It may not seem like such a big deal, but when you forget a toddler's sippy cup and you're out to eat...'tis not a fun time. His favorite "container" to drink out of? My hospital "mugs". Here is a picture of my big boy (and needing a haircut none-the-less) drinking out of a straw.

1 Month Old and First Bath!

This sweet baby girl is 1 month old! She had her first "bath". I was only doing sponge baths up until now...don't ask me why. I did the same thing with Powell too. She was OK with it at first, but as she got a little colder, she was not a fan! :) This scrapbook page is one of many that my friend, Nicole, has done for my mom. I thought I'd post it for all to see and give her a little "plug". She's great to work with and does a fantastic job for those of you who love the look of a scrapbook, but are too lazy (like me) to sift through thousands of pictures and actually do it! Her business blog is under my "Favorite Sites".

I Love Blankets.

Since having Isabel, I have received 2 homemade blankets. I love blankets, and I really love blankets that somebody I know and love put time and effort into.
My sister-in-law, Christy, made this blanket. It's your basic fleece, knotted blanket. I love the pattern she chose for it, and it's served well in covering Isabel's carseat, keeping her safe from the dreaded swine flu. ha! It's a great size too, so that even when she hits her toddler years, it will still be a nice, snuggly blanket.

My best friend from my childhood, Mindi, made Isabel this blanket. This has been a nursing mother's friend! It's such a nice size and weight to "cover up" with, and I love the patterns she chose for this one as well.

Thank you girls!

A Day At The Zoo

Today, me, Powell and Isabel were invited to go to the zoo with some friends. It was, of course, Isabel's first time to the zoo, but did I get any pictures of her? No. It was far more fun to watch Powell and the animals. Isabel, however, was a very good girl. She slept for most of the time, and I only had to stop and feed her once! Powell was having more fun climbing the little fences with Ellie than he was watching the animals. Oh well! I always love to go, so it turned out well for both of us.

Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day with two kiddos! A little surreal. We had a very low key day. Lazed about until evening. My sister-in-law, Sarah, me and Isabel went out to eat at TGI Fridays, and afterwards, we all went over to my in-law's house to have some dessert.

G'ma, G'pa, Photoshoots and Icecream!

My parents came down for a quick visit when Isabel was 2 weeks old. We took her for her first professional photoshoot at JCPenney's. My mom had bought Isa her first tutu, and we just had to get her pictures done! We enjoyed time together, just hanging out. Powell also had his first icecream cone while they were down. He thoroughly enjoyed it....well, who doesn't?

Mmmm...
