This year, Matt and I took the kids to May Farms to find some pumpkins in their pumpkin patch and some other fun things. We headed to the farm animals when we first got there. Isabel loved feeding and petting the goats. She also loved petting the sheep that they were leading around the grounds too. She just loved being able to run around after the hour long car ride. Feeding the ducks in the pond was up next. Powell enjoyed that, but Isabel didn't quite get the concept of throwing the food in the water. They had a barrel train ride that Powell just loved. He rode it 3 times, and one of those times he rode all by himself! I'm silly, but it was a bit nerve-wracking for me to have him go without Matt or myself, but he came back in one piece with only one complaint; we asked him if he had fun to which he replied, "Yes. But it was too smokey." Poor guy had to ride in the barrel right behind the tractor that was pulling the train, so he got a face full of exhaust. :P The other two times he rode was with the same little girl. They seemed to really hit it off, and she was adorable. The first time, she asked if she could ride with him and he said, "Of course!" and scooted over for her to fit in the seat with him. Once they were situated, he said, "I'm Powell." It was too cute, and I was so proud of him for being such a gentleman. The second time, she just jumped in right beside him and they were all giggly and excited. Too.Cute. We picked our pumpkins, and even filled a bag with a bunch of little gourds. We ended our day with a stop at DQ for a yummy Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. Mmmm....Happy Fall, everyone!
