1!!!

Isabel turned 1 today. Where, oh where, has this past year gone? I think her first year went much faster than Powell's first year. She's a little spitfire. She crawls around everywhere and tries to get into everything. She doesn't really have an interest in walking, or pulling up to stand. We'll walk a couple steps together with me holding under her arms and then she'll just buckle. She does, however, get into bear walk stance quite a bit. It's cute to watch. She still thinks she's just about as funny as anything you've heard out there. I have yet to catch her outbursts of fake laughter. At her 1 year appointment, she was 31" tall (95 %), 22 lbs. 2 oz. (70 %) and her head is still off the charts, just like her big brother. She says quite a few words (star, ball, mommy, daddy, baby, more, please, she attempts Powell, but only comes out with the "p" sound, nigh night, bye bye...) The doctor said she has the vocabulary of a 15 month old, so I have another talker on my hands.
On her actual birthday, we just celebrated just the 4 of us. Matt took Powell to the store and let him pick out her cake. It was a nice, laid back evening.
