Happy 2nd Birthday!!

My baby is 2. It is so crazy to me how fast that time went by. We just love our little man so much! He cracks us up. Here is quite the list of what Powell does and loves!

-He is our little Polly Parrot. He repeats pretty much anything you say, so watch your mouth! ;)

-He's quite the polite little thing too. He says please and thank you. Well, he says thank you once if you give him something or do something on your own accord, but if he wants you to do something, he says "thank you, thank you, thank you," getting louder and more excited with each one. He'll say "help please" of course if he needs help. If you burp, he says "excuse you, (insert name here)," if you cough or sneeze he says "bless you, (insert name here)."

-He loves to run and jump on the couch or on the recliner in his room.

-He loves fire trucks

-Loves Curious George (or "George"), his "pig" (which is a stuffed animal guinea pig), "monkey" (a $1 stuffed monkey from King Soopers) and "Bluey" (which was one of Matt's favorite stuffed animals when he was little. It's a little blue bear)

-Loves burpies, snuggle blanket (even if it's a towel), being outside

-Likes to help daddy (especially when using tools), or being in daddy's office

-Loves phones, ice cream, getting the free cookie at the grocery store, fruit (minus melons), milk, apple juice, going bye bye (but always wants to go "bye bye" back home), ice, listening to music and dancing (or "rockin' out")

-Counts to 20

-Says his ABC's

-Starting to go down the stairs frontwards

-Likes opening and closing doors, containers, whatever can be opened or closed!

-Likes talking about the people he knows, especially his cousins.

-Says things like "oh man!", "oh my goodness", "be nice, (insert name here)", "love you, (insert name here)", "what in the world", "shock-a-la-bra", "what you talkin' 'bout (insert made up word or real word here)"....Like I said, he cracks us up!

-Makes funny faces, like squinting his eyes or blinking them as fast as he can (which isn't very fast)

-Loves being tickle tortured. I LOVE his laugh!!

-When I ask where baby sister is, he usually lifts his shirt up first, then goes for mine after.

-He's very good with other babies. He loves them in fact! Very gentle and sweet...wants to give them "nice" and kiss them.

-Loves to read (still)

I could probably go on and on, but I will refrain for the sake of those around me. ;) I just love my little boy and can't wait to see what this new adventure with a sibling will bring! Happy Birthday my little man!!!

We celebrated Powell turning 2 with just the three of us. I made cupcakes and we had some ice cream, which of course was Powell's favorite part.
