We had the chance to go to the
Stock Show this year. Good times were had....and so were some not-so-good times. Our niece, Cori, was in the
Mutton Bustin' competition. She did great and took 3rd place! If you have not been privileged to see one of these competitions, it's one of the most hilarious things to watch. Picture a child, 5-7 years old hanging on for dear life to a large sheep. I had tears. Unfortunately, you weren't allowed to take video, so I am unable to share this experience with you, but take my word for it. :)
Powell loved the petting zoo, as most all children do. He would pet the animals and talk really sweetly to them. He would say stuff like, "and you're a goat." It was cute and comical. He was able to be pulled away from it without a fuss though, so we were very glad for that. We were able to watch some of the rodeo, but Powell got a little antsy, and we had to head home.
Isabel did wonderful. She loved riding around in the front pack, taking in all the sites.

*We weren't very good at taking pictures while we were there....except for at the petting zoo.
