Our annual trip to the cabin was quite an eventful one. On the 2 hour drive up to Cripple Creek, we encountered some car trouble. The poor thing started overheating, and by the time we were able to pull over, the steam was coming out through the seams of the hood. Needless to say, by the end of our "relaxing" Labor Day weekend, we ended up replacing a cracked radiator. It could have been worse, and for that, I am truly thankful. I am also thankful that this happened now, while my husband was with me, than while I was on the 6 hour drive to Wyoming. By myself...with the kids. We did enjoy the time spent with Matt's parents though. We spent our time at the cabin, and also went for a neat train ride in Cripple Creek that took us around to the old gold mines. We had delicious food and played some Mexican Train. Always a fun game. :) The kids thoroughly enjoyed being up there with all that land to rome and explore, not to mention the fresh mountain air!
