5 Years!

Today Matt and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. I can't believe how fast it has gone, and sometimes, I can't believe that it's only been 5 years. ;) We didn't really have anything planned, and weren't going to get each other anything since we're a bit strapped for cash, but Matt surprised me anyway! Go figure. Since the traditional anniversary gift for 5 years is something wood, Matt gave me this Willow Tree figurine, The Promise. So very sweet, and I love it. He also brought home a very sweet card and a cheap bottle of champagne. We had a nice evening in.
We also found out that some friends of ours had their first baby on our anniversary. :) Congratulations to Caleb and Carley on your sweet baby girl, Emory. We can't wait to meet her!

Don't get me wrong. I've dealt, and deal with a dramatic little boy, but girls are definitely something else. Funny thing is, for the most part, she makes me laugh.

A New Bike!

We decided to get Powell a bike and a T-Ball set. Pretty good at hitting the ball, not so good at pedaling a bike. Practice makes perfect, right?

Happy 30th, Matt!

It was a very low-key 30th birthday, but he wouldn't have it any other way! Ice cream at DQ with his little family and his parents was his kind of day.
