Denver Aquarium

A trip to the Denver Aquarium is something I've never experienced in the 9 years I've lived here. While my mom was here visiting, we decided we should go! Wes and his daughter, Kennedy, came with us too. We had a fun time, but, I must say, the highlight for Powell was jumping in the little bouncehouse afterwards. Crazy child.

Big Girl!

Isabel did get her ears pierced while we were in WY. We took her on her 3 month birthday! She cried, but not too hard. Candy, the one with the "gun", just wanted to take her home. Isabel kept "talking" and "complaining" to Candy the whole time. It was too cute.

3 Months

Oh how time flies! I'll probably be saying, or at least thinking this every time she hits the next age! She is such a little chunk of love, and we just can't get enough of her. This little girl smiles and laughs, but not too easily. She's already really vocal, making her little grunts and gurgles. She loves her big brother. Her whole face just lights up when he comes into sight. She appreciates a good meal, although she does have a habit of spitting it all up fairly quickly. It's a wonder she has all the rolls and chins she does! She does have acid reflux, which is being treated with medication. It doesn't prevent her from spitting everything up, but it neutralizes it so it doesn't burn on the way up. She is a "happy spitter". We go through almost her whole collection of bibs and burpies (and some receiving blankets) every other day, if not every day. And there are a lot. Whew! She loves to be outside, to be held, to be talked to. Such a joy.

Vacuum Obsessed!

Vacuums are Powell's obsession right now. Anything and everything is a vacuum. Here is how he entertained himself on the 6 hour drive to my parent's house.

Craig & Kristy

Congratulations to our friend's, Craig and Kristy. They got hitched on July, 9th, 2009. It was a beautiful and fun wedding. Matt was honored to be a part of his best friend's wedding. Powell danced his little socks off, and Isabel was the belle of the ball!

Happy 4th!!

Our 4th was very low key this year. This was the week we were home between our stays in WY, so we didn't make too grand of plans. We spent the day hanging out at home. We BBQ'd that evening and afterwards lit off some of our own fireworks. We did get invited over to our next door neighbor's house to light off some fireworks there, so we grabbed a blanket and headed on over. I had already put Isabel down for the night, so it was just the three of us and a baby moniter. We had a fun time and didn't have to get stuck in any traffic jams trying to go to the big city displays.

"Oh, give me a home...."

Me and my babies had a wonderful time this summer, spending the majority up in Wyoming with my parents. It was nice and relaxing, with much appreciated help from my mom! We hung out in g'ma and g'pa's backyard, went on walks, splash park, went to Farson for icecream, went to Salt Lake, got to visit/play with some good friends... One of our trips, Matt got to come with us! We threw a reception for my little sister and her new husband since they got married in Hawaii...by themselves...:) All of the "Dove" kids and their families were able to come, so we took our "big" family picture since my wedding in '05. We've since added 5 new members! There are so many pictures, and I obviously can never pick which ones to share...
